3 Shootings In 3 Rock Hill Neighborhoods Rattle Residents

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Three neighborhoods are rattled after someone fired several gunshots into three homes in Rock Hill.

The first shooting happened at a home on Liberty Street around 9:30 Monday night.  One of the bullets pierced the bedroom of a 14 year-old, and it traveled all the way through to the bathroom striking a medicine cabinet.  Four hours later, police were called to another home on Friedham Road where someone fired several shots into the living room and the kitchen.  And, around 4:30 Tuesday morning, someone also fired shots into a home on Jefferson Avenue.  Many people in these neighborhoods heard the gunshots.

“Of course, it’s scary, and I hope police decide to ride around through here a little bit more often,” says neighbor Rev. Gordon Raynal.

People living in these neighborhoods are relieved no one was hurt in the shootings.  Police don’t believe any of them are connected.

They’re hoping surveillance cameras from nearby homes caught the criminals in the act.
