Taco Bell officials say they took potatoes off their menu when they simplified the menu last year, but plan on bringing cheesy fiesta potatoes and the spicy potato soft taco back starting on March 11th.

Taco Bell officials say they are working with Beyond Meat, a category leader with a proven track record of attracting younger customers with its plant-based offerings, to create even more vegetarian options for customers.
“The return of our beloved potatoes is just the first step in showing our fans the strong continued commitment to vegetarian we are making this year,” said Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s Global Chief Food Innovation Officer. “We have long been a leader in the vegetarian space, but this year, we have more meatless options in store that vegetarians, veggie-curious and even meat-eaters will love.”
Officials say vegetarian options aren’t just a trend for the fast food service, but these options have been on the menu for many years.
Taco Bell officials say the potato bites are AVA-certified (American Vegetarian Association) and customers can start swapping meat for potatoes or beans on any menu items once they are back in stock in March.
