S.C. Troopers Search For Vehicle Involved In A Fatal Hit & Run In Chester County

Troopers with South Carolina Highway Patrol say they are searching for a 2005-2006 Ford Mustang, that should have front end damage, involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision in Chester County.

Troopers say at 6:15 a.m. on January 14th the suspect vehicle was heading west on South Carolina Highway 9, towards Lockhart, when the vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian before fleeing the scene.

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — South Carolina troopers say they are investigating the death of a pedestrian involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Highway 9 in Chester County on Thursday, January 14th.

Master Trooper Gary Miller says the pedestrian was in the westbound lane of traffic on Highway 9 near Pilgrim Road, when an unknown vehicle hit and killed the pedestrian.

Troopers say the identity of the victim has not yet been released.
