S.C. Troopers Investigate A Fatal Collision In York County

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say the driver of a 2006 Ford F-150 died after hitting a 2019 Freightliner truck head on in York County.

Detectives say the crash happened around 2:15 a.m. on January 16th on Interstate 77 near Rock Hill.

Master Trooper Gary Miller says the truck driver was heading north on Interstate 77, when the Ford heading south in the northbound lanes collided with the truck head on causing both vehicles to travel into the median.

Troopers say the the driver of the Ford was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate.
