Stubborn Arctic Air Lingers into MLK Holiday

Our mountain towns can still expect off-and-on snow showers through Monday afternoon, totaling another 1-2".

After some feel-good flurries arrived in the WCCB Charlotte viewing area Saturday afternoon, it’s back to business for our MLK Monday. Despite the increased sunshine across the western half of the Carolinas, temperatures will struggle to get out of the 30s and 40s once again for the tail-end of the holiday weekend. Meanwhile, the High Country can expect another round of sporadic snow showers, which could total up to another 1-2″ through Monday afternoon. A modest, but steady, warm-up is on the way as we head into the shortened workweek, as temperatures should return to slightly above-normal values by midweek. Much of the week ahead looks dry for now, but rain should return around the Friday timeframe.
