Quiet Weather Pattern Dominates Most of the Week

Near and slightly above average temperatures dominate the week.

A few snowfall reports:

Beech Mountain: 4.5”

Boone: 2.5”

Near Banner Elk: 3.0”

Our weather pattern is rather quiet through the week with little rain chance in the forecast. A ridge of high pressure is in control through Tuesday, therefore, plenty of sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures are in store on Tuesday across the Piedmont. Isolated snow showers are still in play across the High Country through Tuesday. Late Tuesday evening a dry cold front swings across the area which will slightly drop our temperatures on Wednesday, but not by much. Our best chance for rain will be late week, but the rain chances only look to be 20-30% as of now.

Tonight: Clear and chilly. Low: 31°. Wind: W 5-10.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. High: 55°. Wind: SW/W 5-10.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy. Low: 39°. SW 5-10.

Wednesday: Sunny skies. High: 53°. Wind: W/NW 5-10.

Have a wonderful week!
