HICKORY, N.C. — Public health officials invite Catawba County residents to sign up for their COVID-19 vaccination through a new website, CatawbaVaccine.org.
Officials say appointments are currently available for those 65 years of age and older, and these individuals can complete the state-required pre-registration process before heading to get their vaccine in-person.
Officials with Catawba County Public Health, Catawba Valley Health System, and Frye Medical Center say they are working together to help schedule vaccination appointments for eligible individuals through this new website.
Officials say individuals wanting to make an appointment online must confirm their eligibility, and submit a form with their first name, last name, e-mail address, and phone number where they can be reached by an appointment specialist.
Any individuals who submit a form to be vaccinated will get an e-mail from the state’s vaccine registration site, with a link to complete their appointment pre-registration online within 24 hours, according to a news release.
Health officials say an appointment specialist will call after that to help find a convenient time to schedule an appointment.
Appointments can also be made by calling the Catawba County Public Health COVID-19 Vaccination Appointment line at 828-695-6650 Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a news release.
