Senator Bernie Sanders Inauguration Meme Sweatshirt For Charity Sells Out

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Senator Bernie Sanders began selling sweatshirts and t-shirts for charity after a photo of him wearing mittens at the presidential inauguration went viral.

The photo on the new articles of clothing features Sanders in striped winter mittens, iconically posed, and all while social distancing.

Sanders is sold out of the $45 crewneck sweatshirt, but the black t-shirt remains on sale here for $27.

Sanders say 100 percent of the proceeds for the sweatshirt will benefit Meals on Wheels Vermont, and 100 percent of proceeds for the t-shirt will benefit other charities in Vermont including Feeding Chittenden, Chill Foundation, and Vermont community action centers.

Sanders says both of the products are made right here in the United States.

Senator Bernie Sanders reacted to individuals who took to social media to create a variety of memes using the his viral inauguration photo on the Late Night show with Seth Meyers.
