Catawba County Library Launches New Interactive Digital Resource For Kids

NEWTON, N.C. — Parents looking for ways to keep their children entertained in a safe and productive way can now use ‘Just for Kids Access Video’ to watch kid-friendly educational videos free of advertisements, Catawba County Library officials say.

Library officials say the platform is tailored to children aging from Pre-K to elementary school, and features popular children’s shows including Sesame Street, The Electric Company, Arthur, Dr. Seuss, the Berenstain Bears, and many others.

Officials say episodes on the platform incorporate activity sheets to practice literary skills, work seek-and-finds, and numerous problem solving exercises.

Parents can click here and choose a library where they have an account to access the new digital resource.

Library officials say parents should enter their library card information to get access to the website, then they can click on the blue bar labeled “browse all databases,” and then choose the ‘J’ section to find the Just for Kids Streaming Collection.

Parents can even set up a personal account to create customized playlists, save their favorite videos, and select subjects they are interested in, according to a news release.

Officials say the Just for Kids platform is the newest addition to the Catawba County Library’s numerous early childhood digital resources.
