High Pressure Moving In & Bringing Sunshine

A cool, but mainly dry week ahead.

Winter Storm Warning issued for elevations above 3,500′. In effect until 1 PM Tuesday.

Winter Weather Advisory for elevations below 3,500′. In effect until 1 PM Tuesday.
A powerful area of low pressure is bringing a massive snowstorm to the northeast today. The WCCB area is now in wake of the low pressures, therefore, our weather will be improving! Clouds will slightly clear through Tuesday with partly cloudy skies in place. A ridge of high pressure will build in on Tuesday and allow for more sunshine to build in through midweek. Out next best chance for rain is Friday as scattered showers move into the area.
I am watching model trends for an early next week major arctic outbreak. This could bring the coldest air theΒ Charlotte area has seen in 3 years. This is a week away, but models have been consistent so it is something to watch!Β
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Low: 32Β°. Wind: N/NW 5-10.
Tuesday: Decreasing clouds. High: 46Β°. Wind: NW 5-15 G:20.
Tuesday night: Mostly clear. Low: 26Β°. Wind: NW 5-15.
Wednesday: Sunny. High: 50Β°. Wind: NW 5-15.
Have a wonderful week!
