Celebrate Super Bowl Sunday With The Virtual Big Game Run In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Celebrate Super Bowl LV this Sunday, February 7th by running in a virtual race, repping your favorite team, that will benefit a non-profit organization in Charlotte called RunningWorks.

The virtual “Big Game 4 Miler” hosted by Run For Your Life – Midtown location will offer a four mile run, a two mile run, and also a 100 yard kids dash that can be completed from February 5th through February 8th, 2021.

Officials say registration ends February 6th (February 7th for kids dash), and the cost to run the two and four-miler is $33 and $15 to do the kids dash with a long sleeve unisex shirt included for anyone who registered before January 25th.

Custom team color bids were also available to anyone who registered before January 25th, officials say.

Proceeds will benefit the non-profit Running Works headquartered in Charlotte,

 “RunningWorks is a grassroots non-profit providing case management and outreach services to promote healthy lifestyle habits for children and adults experiencing homelessness and poverty,” officials say.

Officials say finisher medals for the four mile and two mile races are limited to the top 500 individuals who participate.

Participants living outside of Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Gaston, and Union Counties will have their swag mailed to them, but anyone living in these counties must pick up their packet in person as you would with any in-person race, according to a news release.
