CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Detectives say they are conducting a homicide investigation after finding a teenager shot dead in east Charlotte late Saturday evening.
Officers say they responded to the shooting on East W.T. Harris Boulevard at 11 p.m. to find a teenage boy with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives say Medics pronounced the teenager dead at the scene, and due to his age, his identity has been withheld.
Two other individuals suffered non-life-threatening injuries including a 16-year-old girl who fell after the incident and a 50-year-old man who suffered head trauma, both were taken to local hospitals to be treated, according to a news release
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
