South Carolina Troopers Investigate A Union County Fatal Collision

UNION, S.C. — Troopers say the driver of a 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck died and two individuals were injured after a fatal crash in Union County on Sunday.

Troopers say the collision occurred around 4 a.m. on February 7th on Whitmire Highway, and the driver of the Chevrolet was found dead at the scene.

Investigators say the driver of the Chevrolet was heading south on Whitmire Highway, when they traveled left of center and struck a 2005 Jeep SUV head-on in the northbound lanes of traffic.

One passenger in the Chevrolet, 23-year-old Victoria Harrison, was injured and taken to Spartanburg Regional hospital, and the driver of the Jeep, 24-year-old Ashley Rodriguez, was also injured and taken to Spartanburg Regional to be treated.

Police have not yet released the identity of the Chevrolet driver.
