Rain Gear Needed on Thursday
Increasing clouds, rain and cooler temperatures dominate the forecast.
Grab that rain gear on Thursday. We will wake up to patchy dense fog and isolated showers, but the bulk of rain moves across the WCCB area Thursday afternoon through Friday morning. As cold air builds in late Thursday through Friday, rain transitioning to freezing rain is possible north of I-40 early Friday morning.
The next week or so looks way less than pleasant. Rain, clouds, rain, more rain with a little bit of sun (if we are lucky). Don’t forget about the cooler than “normal” temperatures too. I’m just the messenger! #ncwx #scwx pic.twitter.com/o9gZZEB60Y

We stay unsettled through the week and into the first half of the weekend as a stalled front drapes just to our south.
