Bitler will be awarded a “2021 Vienna Philharmonic New Year’s Concert with Riccardo Muti” cd for winning the competition chosen and donated by John Ross, who said he enjoyed the variety of the show with themes from sisterly love to a collage of all kinds of kisses.

Officials say the exhibit is open to all visual artists in the area, and all the art will be on display from February 6th through March 6th, 2021 in Full Circle Arts’ gallery and on the FCA website.

Officials say they created the contest to inspire creativity during the pandemic.

“After being cooped up in so many ways this past year, we feel it is time to break out and look for some fun. So, artists and would-be artists, let loose and express yourself, wild and crazy, in a valentine to show the world.”

Officials say other valentine creators Tereza Bentley, Jackie Finley, Meredith Janssen, Chris Parsons, and Ellen Schwarzbek helped to create the small, but interesting display.

Full Circle Arts is a non-profit artists’ cooperative in downtown Hickory with normal operation hours on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
