CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Detectives say Derreck McDonald, 36, has been identified as the offender in the murder of Zuri Norman back in October.
Homicide Unit Detectives say McDonald was killed on December 12th, 2020 before they have established his connection to this fatal shooting.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives say 26-year-old Zuri Norman was shot and killed on October 30th around 11:30 p.m in east Charlotte.
Investigators responded to reports of a shooting on Winged Elm Court to find Norman with an apparent gunshot wound, who medics pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release.
CMPD officers say they continue to investigate the fatal shooting, and anyone with more information should call 704-432-TIPS to speak directly with a Homicide Unit detective or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
