Cooler Temperature & Rain Dominate Friday

Widespread rain will roll through Friday

While the spring-like feels were nice, big changes are on tap for Friday. The dry cold front that moved through the area late Wednesday/early Thursday morning is stalling to our south – this is going to set up an on-and-off unsettled weather pattern for the next several days. Increasing clouds tonight with lows bottoming out near 40 degrees across the Piedmont and flirting with freezing across the High Country. Expect high temperatures on Friday to only top out in the mid to upper 40s with showers throughout the day. Most neighborhoods in the Piedmont and Foothills picking up 1/2 inch – 1 inch of rain. The Mountains will see a wintry mix with highs on Friday in the mid 30s.

The weekend does not look like a total washout, but we will hold a chance of showers in the forecast both Saturday and Sunday with rain coverage increasing Sunday evening into Monday. As a warm front lifts north, we rebound back to the 60s on Saturday and could push 70 degrees on Sunday.

Tonight: Increasing clouds. Low: 40. Wind: E 5.

Friday: Colder & Wet. Showers. High: 46. Wind: E/NE 5-10.

Saturday: Isolated shower with mostly cloudy skies. High: 63. Wind: SW 5-10.

Happy Thursday!!
