Camp North End Hosts Weekly Drive-In Movie Series
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Watch your favorite movies with a beautiful view of Uptown Charlotte’s skyline at Camp North End’s weekly Skyline Drive-in movie series benefiting charity.
Camp North End officials say tickets are $30 per car with a portion of the proceeds benefiting north end service organizations including Roof Above, Crisis Assistance Ministries, Salvation Army Center of Hope, and Second Harvest Food Bank.
Statesville Avenue parking lot on Camp Road will be transformed into the theater with gates opening at 6 p.m. and the movie starting at 7 p.m., with 60 cars allowed into the socially-distanced event, according to officials.
Officials say the movie screen will be located on the northwest corner of the parking lot, and viewers can listen along by tuning in on their FM radio.
The Skyline Drive-in upcoming movie schedule is as follows:
- Wednesday, March 3rd at 7 p.m. – Creed.
- Thursday, March 4th at 7 p.m. – 1997 Cinderella starring Brandy Norwood.
- Thursday, March 11th at 7 p.m. – West Side Story.
Camp North End officials say you can purchase your tickets through Eventbrite here, and ask anyone looking to attend the event to enter at the intersection of Statesville Avenue and Sylvania Drive.
Officials say masks are required for anyone who exits their car, and viewers may bring their own food and drinks, or purchase from local food stalls on North Graham Street.
If the event is canceled due to inclement weather, officials say they will let ticket holders know 24-hours in advance and will offer a refund or a ticket to another showing.
