Suspect Arrested, Charged After Victim Shot Twice In Gaston County

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A man has been charged and arrested after a Sunday evening shooting in Gaston County left a victim in the hospital, according to police.

Police responded around 10 p.m. to Stanley Spencer Mountain Road in reference to a shooting.When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim shot twice in the chest.

The unidentified victim was transported to CaroMont Regional Medical Center where they are in stable condition. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.

According to the Gaston County Police, 41-year-old Michael Ethan Davis Sr. has been charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He is currently incarcerated at the Gaston County Jail under a hold awaiting his first court appearance.
