Two Men Arrested Following Fatal Shooting In Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Rock Hill Police say two suspects have been arrested for a fatal shooting that happened on Rich Street on February 19th.

Jarod Nelson, 24, and Brendon Meyers, 24, both of Rock Hill, were taken into custody and charged with murdering 29-year-old Harterius Massey.  The York County Coroner’s Office says Massey was from Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Officers say they responded to reports of a shooting at a home on Rich Street and found Massey in the driveway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.  Massey was taken to a hospital in Charlotte where he died from his injuries, according to a news release.

Police say Nelson was taken into custody by the Rock Hill Police Department on February 24th.  Meyers was arrested on March 2nd in Ellis County, Kansas, according to a news release.  He is awaiting extradition to Rock Hill.
