Local Coffee Bar Donates March 4th Proceeds In Honor Of Fallen K-9 Officer

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Officials with Clutch Coffee Bar say on Thursday, March 4th they will be celebrating fallen Officer Jordan Sheldon’s birthday by donating 100 percent of their proceeds from their two Mooresville locations to Sheldon’s K9s charity.

Officials say Sheldon’s K9s is a non-profit organization that was named in honor of Officer Sheldon who lost his life in the line of duty, and seeks to improve the lives of K9 dogs and their handlers.

Officials with the non-profit say “Our goal is to provide support to the Mooresville Police Department K9 unit through community involvement. We hope to further awareness, care, and advocacy efforts for police and K9s at local, state, and national levels. Our organization is named in honor of K9 Officer Jordan Sheldon, who lost his life in the line of duty. The hope of Sheldon’s K9s is to keep his memory alive by elevating some of Jordan’s passions: law enforcement and the K9s who serve.”

Sheldon born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina joined the Mooresville Police Department in 2014 and was appointed to the K-9 unit in 2015.

Officials say Sheldon was killed by a driver during a routine traffic stop on May 4th, 2019 at 32-years-old, and this organization honors his memory and love for his dogs by bringing the community and K9s closer together.
