Man From Charlotte Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In York County

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — Troopers say a Charlotte man was killed in a single-vehicle accident that happened approximately two miles north of Fort Mill, South Carolina.

The accident happened just after midnight on March 2nd on Flint Hill Road in York County, according to Troopers.  Jose Rodrigo Espino was driving a 2002 Chevrolet SUV north on Flint Hill Road when Troopers say he went off the left side of the road, struck a tree, and overturned.

Troopers say Espino was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.  He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.  The York County Coroner’s Office say Espino was 22-years-old.  Autopsy and toxicology results are pending, according to a news release.
