Extras Wanted At Open Casting Call For Movie Filming In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — If you have ever wanted to be an extra in a movie now is your chance! Tona B. Dahlquist Casting is holding an open casting call for extras for the movie version of a popular Judy Blume book that will be filmed in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Starting in April Lionsgate will begin production on the movie version of Judy Blume’s book Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret, starring Rachel McAdams and Abby Ryder Fortson.

Casting officials say all ages, types, and ethnicities are needed, and these extras will be paid.

Officials say anyone interested in being considered to be an extra in this film must submit the following:

  • Two current photos (close up and full length). They can be cell phone pictures.
  • Your name (and parent’s name if submitting your child).
  • Phone number.
  • City and state you reside in.
  • Height and weight.
  • Clothing sizes (including shoes).
  • Descriptions of any visible tattoos or piercings.

Casting officials say to send this information to: cltextras@gmail.com to be considered, with the subject line including your age, race, gender, and city/state you reside in.

In addition to casting extras, officials say they are looking for anyone who owns a period vehicle from the 1960’s to the 1970’s.

Car owners are asked to include a picture of their vehicle with the make, model, and year as well as the city/state the vehicle is located in with the owners name and phone number.
