CHARLOTTE, N.C. — UNC Charlotte officials say 2021 graduates will have the opportunity to graduate at an outdoor in-person ceremony, with a limited number of guests allowed due to Governor Cooper’s latest COVID-19 guidelines for public gatherings.
Officials say they plan on developing multiple in-person commencement ceremonies for graduates on Thursday, May 13th, Friday, May 14th, and Saturday, May 15th.
To protect the health and safety of students and faculty, officials say they make the final decision to hold graduation in-person or virtually depending on state and local health guidelines in place for May of 2021.
University leaders say they will provide an update to graduates the week of March 15th.
