Mecklenburg County Health Officials Expand First Dose COVID Vaccine Appointments For Groups 1-3

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mecklenburg County Public Health officials announced Tuesday that there will be more first dose COVID-19 vaccine appointments available for Groups 1,2, and 3 until the end of March.

The appointment dates will be available from Wednesday, March 10 through March 31 and the Bojangles Coliseum.

According to a news release, MCPH is expanding its partnership with StarMed Healthcare to provide first doses at the coliseum and eligible individuals can make an appointment.

Individuals in Group 1 and Group 3 working in Mecklenburg County and Group 2 County residents 65 years and older may make a first dose appointment now at StarMed.Care or by calling MCPH COVID-19 Hotline at 980-314-9400. If no appointments are available, eligible individuals may join the waitlist at MeckNC.gov/COVID-19.

If anyone needs transportation to your vaccination appointment, contact the Mecklenburg County Transportation System at 980-314-7600.

The Mecklenburg County Vaccination Plan aligns with current Federal and State recommendations and follows current guidelines. Because vaccine supplies are currently limited, vaccine distribution is being rolled out in Groups.
