Rising Spring Cleaning Week: Tackling Common Stains

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Staining your favorite shirt can be the worst feeling – but you don’t need to trash it, you can save it!

Nicole is showing us laundry hacks for dealing with some of the worst stains, and some of the most common stains… and you probably have most of the solutions in your house already.

For coffee stains, use 1 tbsp of Dawn, 1 tbsp of vinegar and 2 cups of warm water. If the stain is really bad, you can throw in some baking soda too.

If you get a stain from foundation or other makeup, you can use shaving cream to get it out.

Deodorant stains are a problem for many people – but a dryer sheet, or even pantyhose can help make that stain a thing of the past.

Finally – for grease stains, you can use cornstarch or baby powder… but you’ll want to let the powder really set, and maybe even leave it overnight.

Once you’ve pre-treated your clothes, toss them in the washer and hope you’ve saved your clothes!
