CFD: ‘Flames Shoot Through The Roof’ During Structure Fire At Shops Near UNC Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte firefighters say they were able to get a fire under control in under 20 minutes after a two story commercial building near UNC Charlotte went up in flames Wednesday night.
Officials with the Charlotte Fire Department say no one was injured in the fire, and 27 firefighters responded to the incident on University City Boulevard around 8 p.m. on March 10th.
Officials say flames were shooting through the roof when firefighters got to the Campus Station shops on University Boulevard at Old Concord Road, and the Kritical Nutrition Store was heavily damaged.
