A Warm End to the Week with Weekend Clouds Building

A beautiful end to the work week with a few showers possible for some

A very dry air mass continues to dominate the area, therefore, use extreme caution when burning as fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.

Another very mild evening with lows in the 40s to low 50s. On Friday, most neighborhoods will top out in the 70s with some making a run at 80! Cloud cover will increase through the weekend and winds will shift from the SW to the E as a mainly dry cold front swings through Friday evening, therefore, high temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s with us holding onto mild overnight lows. This Friday cold front will likely still have moisture with it as it makes its way to the high country so scattered showers are in the forecast for the Mountains Friday and Saturday. Rain coverage will be isolated and very few and far between for the Piedmont through the weekend, but could possibly be isolated at times. The best chance for measurable rainfall comes through the beginning of next week.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Low: 51°. Wind: S/SW 5-10.

Friday: Mix of sun and clouds. Scattered showers for the Mountains. High: 79°. Wind: W/SW 5-15.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Isolated showers possible. High: 68. E/NE 5-15.

Have a wonderful Thursday!
