Unsettled Pattern Returns for Weekend

Lots of changes will be happening over the next few days. Enjoy the warm and dry weather this afternoon. Showers return tonight north of I-40 as a cold front passes through the region. Temps will remain mild overnight, but highs this weekend won’t get out of the mid-60s. Cloudy with isolated showers through Sunday as boundary sits just south of the area before sliding north by the end of the weekend. Better rain chances move in next week with a series of stronger cold fronts moving into the region beginning late Monday into Tuesday. A few rumbles will be possible, but a severe threat at this time remains low for the first half of the week. More storms in the forecast mid-week. Keeping an eye on the setup Wednesday/Thursday for a few stronger storms/potential flooding threats.
