CHARLOTTE, N.C – Panthers offensive tackle Russell Okung Junior is now one of the 30 highest paid athletes in the NFL. And it’s all because of the decision he made back in December of 2020, to accept half of his $13M salary in the form of Bitcoin. At the time, Bitcoin was $26,000, but today’s value is $61,000, making his annual salary more than $21M.
