‘Round Town With Rising: Kannapolis
Get out, see the sights, and ride 'Round Town with Rising to Ballantyne!
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Get out, see the sights, ride ‘Round Town with Rising! Each Tuesday and Thursday we scope out a surprise spot around our city. The latest locale: Kannapolis!
We’re kicking off the day in the downtown area – with plenty of shops, restaurants, and even a veteran-owned brewery called Old Armor.
After that – we’re headed to see a NASCAR legend – with Dale Earnhardt’s 9-foot-tall, 900 pound statue! The Dale Earnhardt Tribute Plaza is a major stop on the self-guided tour, the Dale Trail.
Finally we’re catching some baseball and checking out the Cannon Ballers stadium, Atrium Health Ballpark. It opened last year, to baseball, concerts and community events – plus you can grab a bite to eat, even if it isn’t gameday.
