On The Road With James: Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — When thinking about the North Carolina High Country you probably picture serene mountain views, hiking, and skiing, but rollercoasters are probably not high on your list. James meets with friends at Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster in Banner Elk, North Carolina who plan on changing that.
Wilderness Run is the only alpine coaster in the Carolinas, who opened their doors back in May of 2020, looking to bring family fun to the area.
Officials say this an experience you just can’t get elsewhere with ticket prices starting at $5 a ride for children under 6-years-old, $13 for children from 7-years-old to 13-years-old, and $16 for anyone over the age of 14-years-old.
Ticket bundles for all ages that include multiple rides are also on sale, and officials say all tickets must be purchased in person as their Facebook has been hacked.
