Rowan County Deputies Arrest A Man After A Break-In Investigation Lead To A Drug Bust

ROWAN CO., N.C. — Deputies say while investigating a break-in at a home in Salisbury on Thursday, they searched the home of the suspect to find illegal drugs, money, and a stolen gun inside.

Deputies say they responded to the break-in on March 18th at a home on Mt. Hope Church Road where the victim reported a .40 caliber handgun as stolen.

After speaking with neighbors, investigators say they identified 36-year-old Johnny Fore as a possible suspect and began searching for him.

Deputies say they located Fore’s vehicle shortly after on Castor Road outside the town of Faith, and were able to conduct a search of the home.

Detectives say during the search deputies recovered the stolen handgun from the Mt. Hope Church Road break-in and found a small quantity of crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, around 23 grams of crystal methamphetamine in plastic bags, and over $600 in U.S. currency.

Fore is charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny, larceny of a firearm, possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of a schedule III controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a news release.

Deputies say Fore is being held under a $20,000 bond at the Rowan County Detention Center.
