SALISBURY, N.C. — An 11-year-old has been hospitalized after being shot Thursday night in Salisbury, according to officials.
Salisbury Police determined the incident happened on Harrell Street. Police were called to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center around 9:30 p.m. after the child was brought in with a gunshot wound.
The child was then taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center for further medical treatment. The child’s name has not been released.
Police say they there are contradicting stories as to what happened after conducting interviews with witnesses to the incident.
