Deputies say a neighbor and longtime family friend named Glen Haltom discovered his 2007 white, 4-door, Ford Fusion was missing the same morning.

Authorities say it is believed that Aleah took the vehicle, as the note that she left said to tell Glen she was sorry for stealing, according to a news release.  The tag number of the vehicle is NC License Plate: ZTY1012.

Deputies say it’s unknown if Aleah acted alone in taking the vehicle as her mother told authorities that Aleah did not know how to operate a vehicle very well.
