Police say concerned citizens told officers Austin had been discharging weapons at his home at all hours of the day and night, and in an unsafe manner, back in January.

Since Austin is a convicted felon, officers say this prohibits him from owning or possessing firearms and an investigation was launched from there.

Detectives say on Tuesday, March 30th they conducted a traffic stop of Austin’s vehicle and after finding probable cause, they searched his vehicle to find Austin in possession of drug paraphernalia, crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, LSD, and dimethyltryptamine (DMT).

Police say a search warrant was then executed on his home located on Country Ridge Road in Rockwell, North Carolina, and numerous items including a firearm, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, DMT, and a DMT lab were found inside.

Austin is being held under a $300,000 secured bond at the Rowan County Detention Center as the investigation continues and additional charges may be applied, according to a news release.
