Practice Your Spanish Speaking Skills With The Hickory Public Library

HICKORY, N.C. — The Hickory Public Library invites anyone looking to practice their Spanish language skills to join its virtual conversational Spanish group meeting through May of 2021.

Library officials say this group meets through Zoom on Wednesdays at 5 p.m., and newcomers are welcome to join in as participants or just listen along as the group works to improve their Spanish speaking abilities and knowledge of Spanish vocabulary.

Officials say Laura Bernhein, an Argentinian journalist and life coach, of Asheville, N.C. will facilitate the conversations, with meetings set to resume after the Easter holiday on April 14th through May 26th.

Bernhein also works as a volunteer helping immigrants improve their English language skills, says her passions include communication, traveling, and raising her two beautiful kids.

Library officials say this class is perfect for people who are comfortable with basic vocabulary and grammatical concepts in Spanish and want to focus on increasing fluidity.

Officials say the event is free and to register ahead of time here or call 828-304-0500, as spaces are limited.
