Scattered Showers Overnight with Wind and Cold Building In
Increasing wind in wake of the cold front with Winter making a comeback.
WIND ADVISORY: For the High Country tonight through Thursday afternoon.
FREEZE WATCH: For the Piedmont Thursday night into Friday morning.
Scattered showers continue through the remainder of the evening into the overnight hours as a cold front swings across the region. Low temperatures tonight will be much cooler than the last couple as we bottom out near 40°. With temperatures dropping in wake of the front, a few flurries are possible across the Mountains overnight into Thursday. The cold does not stop there as winter makes a comeback! Expect high temperatures on Thursday and Friday to only top out in the low 50s across the Piedmont with overnight lows both Thursday and Friday at or below freezing (cover your plants!). High temperatures will likely stay in the 30s to near 40s across the High Country Thursday and Friday with lows in the teens – 20s.
An area of high pressure builds in late this week through next week which will bring plenty of sunshine to the region and highs back to the mid 70s next week.
