At-Home COVID-19 Vaccination Appointments Available In Mecklenburg County
MECKLENBURG CO, N.C. — Health officials say Mecklenburg County residents who are currently homebound due to an ongoing physical or mental disease can receive the COVID-19 vaccine at home by completing a request form online here.
Officials with Mecklenburg County Public Health (MCPH) say they have implemented this measure to ensure COVID-19 vaccines are accessible to everyone in the community, and have already vaccinated eight homebound individuals during a trial run on March 30th.
MCPH has already received 500 requests for homebound vaccinations, and officials say they will continue to vaccinate homebound residents in partnership with EMS over the next several weeks.
Health officials say county residents who meet the eligible criteria will receive the Johnson & Johnson one shot vaccine during their at-home vaccination appointment.
