22-Year-Old Concord Man Arrested, Charged With Murder In Kannapolis Homicide Case

A 22-year-old Concord man has been arrested and charged with murder after a woman was fatally shot at a Kannapolis convenience store Sunday afternoon.
The Kannapolis Police Department responded around 1 p.m. to Lane Street Express. Upon arrival, officers located 24-year-old Lena Morgan, of Concord, with a gunshot wound. Police say she was pronounced dead at the scene.
After an investigation, investigators learned that the incident was a drive-by shooting that happened in the parking lot of the store. According to police, they were able to get a lead and identify the suspect in the homicide case as Nolan Kiel Graves.
Graves was located in Charlotte last night by officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and was arrested without incident. Police say Graves is charged with first degree murder and is in custody in the Cabarrus County Jail.
This was not a random shooting based on the investigation.

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Authorities in Kannapolis are investigating a homicide after a person was found shot to death at a convenience store.
Kannapolis Police rushed to the intersection of Lane Street and Wright Avenue after one p.m. Sunday. When police arrived, they found a female who had been shot. She died on the scene.
Kannapolis Police are searching for the person driving a dark-colored vehicle that sped away from the area. They’re urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact them immediately.
