MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Mecklenburg County health officials announced Tuesday that the COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Bojangles Coliseum will now be accepting walk-in vaccinations without an appointment starting this week.
The vaccination clinic, located on East Independence Boulevard, is now accepting walk-ins for vaccinations as well as appointments. This week, the clinic is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Wednesdays 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
According to a news release, Mecklenburg County vaccine providers are currently administering the Moderna, and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines. Second dose appointments will be scheduled at the first dose appointments.
These COVID-19 vaccines are available to everyone at no cost to the person receiving the vaccine, no matter whether you have health insurance.
The MCPH will not be administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at the clinic due to the recommended pause.
Appointments can be scheduled for individuals who are 16 and up by going to StarMed.Care or by calling MCPH COVID-19 Hotline at 980-314-9400. If no appointments are available, eligible individuals may join the waitlist at MeckNC.gov/COVID-19.
