CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 28-year-old man was fatally shot in north Charlotte Tuesday night sparking a homicide investigation, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to McArthur Avenue around 9:15 p.m. after receiving a call for service about a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found a person who had been shot. The victim, identified as Harry Marquis Brown, was transported to a local hospital by Medic and was later pronounced dead.
This is an ongoing, active investigation.
