Thursday bringing more heat and mugginess with highs reaching the upper 80s. Breezy this afternoon ahead of a strong cold front. Winds will be out of the southwest 5-15 mph with 30-40 mph gusts. Rain chances will be best for areas north of I-40 with isolated showers overnight into Friday morning for the rest of the region. Clouds will clear Friday with more seasonable highs back in the upper 70s. Saturday will be pleasant and if you’re not a fan of the summer feels we’ve had the last few days, then I would highly suggest you take advantage of the ‘sunny and 75’ day we have lined up. Temps will begin to climb Sunday with highs reaching the mid 80s. Scattered storm chances return early next week.
