Wonderful Weekend, Wetter Workweek
A classic summer-like pattern arrives by midweek, complete with heat, humidity, and storms.
We’ve made it to May, and we couldn’t ask for a much better start to the month. Plentiful sunshine, ample warmth, and comfortable, dry air should carry us through the second half of the weekend, as southerly winds fuel a warm-up back into the 70s and 80s. The good times won’t last forever, though. A series of rainmaking systems arrive by Monday, bumping up both humidity and rain chances through the first half of your workweek. Stronger winds out of the south and west could bring some communities near 90º for our Tuesday; heat index values could approach the mid-90s east of the Metro. Much of the moisture and heat will be flushed out by a cold front by Thursday morning, bringing cooler temperatures and somewhat drier conditions back to the forefront for the back half of the week.
