Discussion:
A few morning rumbles and downpours popping up ahead of a cold front. Cool and breezy today with highs well below average. Winds will increase out of the NW 15-20 mph this afternoon with stronger gusts. A wind advisory is in place for the mountains until 9 pm. Low relative humidity and breezy conditions will lead to an increased fire risk for the eastern edge of the WCCB Viewing Area. Burning is not recommended. Highs today will only reach the upper 60s with overnight lows tumbling into the upper 40s. We have a beautiful outlook this weekend. Still breezy Saturday, but highs will reach the low to mid-70s. Calmer conditions taking hold on Mother’s Day with temps rising into the low 80s under partly cloudy skies. Early next week a series of cold fronts will lead to more unsettled weather. Well below-average temperatures return by mid-week with highs only reaching the mid-60s.
