FORT MILL, S.C. — Troopers say a motorcyclist died early Sunday morning after he lost control of his bike and ran off the roadway in York County.  The York County Coroner identified the motorcyclist as 21-year-old Bascom Cranshaw.

Troopers say Cranshaw was driving a 2004 Honda CVR 600 R motorcycle south on Pleasant Road near Coltharp Road around 4:30 a.m. when he struck a traffic sign and fire hydrant after driving off the left side of the road.
