Caught On Camera: Thief Snatches Woman’s Purse In Store Parking Lot

MATTHEWS, N.C. — A bold and brazen crime in broad daylight.  A thief snatches a purse from a woman walking to her car.  And, the crime was captured on surveillance video.

It happened Monday at the Sam’s Club on Windsor Square Drive in Matthews.  The driver of a black car turned into the parking lot, as a woman pushed her buggy towards her car.  Someone in the passenger seat opened the door, jumped out of the car, grabbed the woman’s purse, jumped back in the car, and took off.

The victim wasn’t able to give Matthews Police a good description of the suspects.  They say they were driving a black Honda Fit.
