Heads up, Carolinas!

A nice, long and bright pass of the International Space Station to occur Friday night

Heads up, Carolinas! The International Space Station will make a very bright pass tonight at 9:24 pm.

The weather will be good across the Queen City for viewing with partly cloudy skies.

Fun facts:

  • The ISS is as big as a football field but will look like a pin of light, a star that does not blink moving very steadily across the night sky.
  • The space station has been continuously occupied since November 2000.
  • A spacecraft can arrive at the space station as soon as four hours after launching from Earth.
