Former President Donald Trump To Headline NCGOP Convention In Greenville

GREENVILLE, N.C. — Former President Donald Trump is expected to speak in Greenville, North Carolina in June.

Trump will attend the North Carolina Republican Party’s 2021 State Convention which is held in Greenville.

According to NCGOP officials, Trump will speak at the Convention Dinner on Saturday, June 5th.

“President Trump won North Carolina in 2016 by promising to put America First, and he won North Carolina in 2020 by keeping that promise,” said NCGOP Chairman Michael Whatley. “President Trump delivered real results for North Carolina by rebuilding the military, standing strong against China, and unleashing the American Economy. We are honored to welcome President Trump to our convention as the Republican Party launches our campaign to retake Congress and the Senate in the 2022 midterms.”

The former president previously made appearances in Greenville during his term as president in 2019 and 2020. The Tar Heel state was a frequent stop for Trump and his family in the months leading up to the 2020 election.

Trump won the battleground state of North Carolina over both Democratic challengers, current President Joe Biden and challenger Hillary Clinton, when running for President of the United States.

The Convention Dinner is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 5, at 6 pm.
