Developing Heatwave is on the Way
Temperatures rising each day through the weekend into next week
Overnight lows for the remainder of the week will be mild and only bottom out in the upper 50s to low 60s. Temperatures rise each day with the only lingering rain chance ending Tuesday evening.
Get ready! A developing heatwave is on the way. Today was the “coolest” day (thanks cloud cover!) we will see for at least the next 10 days as the heat cranks up across the eastern half of the UnitedΒ States. Our average first 90Β° day is May 20th so this heat isΒ right on schedule, but temperatures will still be well above-average. Temperatures will reach 90Β° in some neighborhoods on Friday and only rise through the weekend and into the beginning of nextΒ week. This hot pattern is also going to be a dry one as well so be sure to water your gardens and lawn. This has been the driest spring since 2016.
Tonight: Partly/mostly cloudy. Low: 59. Wind: E 5.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy. High: 83. Wind: E 5-10.
Thursday: Mostly sunny. High: 86. Wind: S/SE 5.
Have a great week!
Kaitlin
